about
Daniel de Souza is an award-winning photographer and creative director now based in Miami.
Born in Uruguay, he studied photography in NYC, moving to California to build a studio in San Francisco, where he worked for
over a decade.
He collaborated with top agencies and design firms, working on campaigns for companies like Apple, Levi’s, Adidas, and numerous
Silicon Valley startups. “Working side by side with top designers, cinematographers, and directors was one of the most intense,
eye-opening, and life-changing chapters of my career.” The level of professionalism and seriousness in the process became the
MO I adopted for my personal projects.
After a few years of work on the West Coast, I discovered that moving next to a beautiful, warm tropical ocean—with an internet connection—was a geographical pivot worth the risk. In Florida, I worked with Alienware on their first major campaigns, and with
many design firms on projects ranging from real estate developers to hotels, resorts, and restaurants.
Over the years, I’ve managed teams and been part of teams. Today, I’m exploring new tools and trends in music, literature, and communications. My adventures in fatherhood are my most treasured memories and reality—a constant source of inspiration.
A lifelong musician and electronic music explorer. I co-produce a podcast with a renowned executive coach, interviewing
executive leaders from across the US and Europe—all done remotely from South Florida.
I believe the art we create helps build the world: shaping reality and community. We stand on the shoulders of great humanity
that has allowed us today to be here, with knowledge and freedoms to care for. What we built today will be our sons and daughters
environment.
I’ve now started a hybrid studio, blending traditional capture (cameras, lenses, sets) with generative tools to enhance and expand the possibilities of what we can create. I translate ideas into prompts, references, and constraints for AI image models, treating them as another set of tools.
My strength is building solutions grounded in ethical awareness: authenticity, representation, and consent. This stands on years of developing visual literacy in composition, lighting, narrative, history of art and life experiences—our human experience.
Thank you.
Godspeed
